Long Lands Common is to be situated conviniently between Bilton, Starbeck, and Knaresborough, and will be accessible both via an established path onto the site, and also via an entrance from the Nidderdale Greenway.

Our plan, is to protect and enhance the greenbelt between Harrogate and Knaresborough, preserving the distinct character of the two towns for the communities within.
We will provide an accessible-to-all, community-owned woodland and green space for the recreation of local communities of Harrogate and Knaresborough people, provide a community-owned space where the people of Harrogate and Knaresborough can plant trees and other flora, visit for recreation and engage in communal environmental activities; conserve and improve the bio-diversity in the Harrogate and Knaresborough area, and also provide an environmental education space and venue for the communities of Harrogate and Knaresborough - particularly local schools, community groups and users of the Nidderdale Greenway.
